Inspired by various vintage photographs, manipulated glass, old handwritten documents, and timeworn objects, Young manifests the complexity of memory. Her work takes on a resemblance of a passage of time and becomes a metaphor for the multiple dimensionalities of life experiences. As Young puts it, “As with memory, one moment is erased while the next is painted, leaving only impressions of the first.” Please join us in welcoming back one of our own veteran California based artists.
